Tenancy Advisors

Your tenancy advisor is the person to talk to if you have any questions about your home, your tenancy, or your community.

They can help with:

  • Day to day tenancy matters.

  • Rent enquiries.

  • Maintenance issues.

  • Getting involved in your community.

  • Connecting you with any support services you might need.

You can contact your tenancy advisor directly. If they are not available straight away, you can leave a message and they will get back to you during their normal working hours.

If you need to talk to someone straight away, or unsure of your tenancy advisors contact details, call our Contact Centre, which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days on 0800 248 944

Tenancy Agreement

A tenancy agreement is a contract between your landlord (Te Toi Mahana) and a tenant (yourself).

It sets out everything that a landlord and you as a tenant have agreed to about the tenancy.

Tenancy agreements must be in writing, and you must be given a copy before the tenancy starts. Tenancy agreements need to comply with the Residential Tenancies Act 1986.

You should read your tenancy agreement carefully. If there is anything you don’t understand, talk to your tenancy advisor, a support person, or Tenancy Services

For more information about tenancy agreements visit Tenancy agreements » Tenancy Services or phone Tenancy Services on 0800 836 262.
